The pentacle is a five pointed star shaped symbol with a circle around it and is widely used for protection. Each point represents Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit. The pentacle symbol has been revered by almost all the ancient civilizations, be it the Greeks, Egyptians, Chinese, Indians, Babylonians, or even Mayans but is more widely used in neo-pagan traditions today.
