This sterling silver pendant is a depiction of the Celtic God Cernunnos, the male, horned god of the Iron Age Celts. A symbol of the Hunter and the Hunted, he is also known as Herne the Hunter. Revered as the guardian of the forests, defender of animal tuatha (Celtic translation of tribes), the source of all forest wisdom and the masculine half of creative energy, his restorative work in the yearly cycle of Pagan and Wiccan ritual is particularly celebrated at Beltane.
